Patch v0.30c


Hopefully the final version of v0.30, this patch addresses issues with the titular new mode, unlocking the full 30 wave experience with some balancing changes.

Spearhead

  • Wave balancing
    • Corrected release final wave placement- despite the intention of having wave 30 being the final wave of the default intensity setting, wave 15 was the final wave instead.
      • New final waves for each intensity setting are as follows:
      • CRISIS, the pretty unfair and hardest setting, lasts 30 waves, from 20 to 50.
    • Frigates cannot appear until wave 14, previously they could appear on wave 12. They are also less likely to appear on future waves
    • Wave difficulty scaling begin to fall off from wave 16
    • Intensity settings beyond Skirmish are now locked off until you clear the wave they start on e.g. clear wave 10 to unlock Assault
  • Perk balancing
    • Combat Rearming- instead of doubling the rearming speed every time you take the perk subsequently, the rearming speed is increased by the original rearming speed value (100% boost)
    • Traversal Boost- value increased from 20->40%
      • Definitely a useful perk, but it doesn't feel meta and the 20% boost wasn't the most noticeable. Moving faster is more fun so why not?
    • Manoeuvre Boost- value increased from 25->30%
    • Reverse Output- value increased from 50->120%
    • (weapon) Generation- value increased from 25->40%
    • Shield Capacitance- value increased from 30->40%
  • Fixed upgrade SFX playing multiple times for some perks
  • Fixed a bug that could cause a perk to be applied with a single press without previewing beforehand

Ambush

  • Restored missing 'All probes have been destroyed' voice line

Course 3

  • Corrected materials in wrecked CRISIS core model to match the updated version of the intact model
  • Moved the CRISIS core spawn trigger to an earlier point in the tunnel
  • Increased cooldown between CRISIS core laser barrages

???

  • Fixed NULL DEBRIEF
  • Fixed having a G-110 Transport wrongly included in the frigate destruction task

Asag

  • Fixed clipping issues with initial N-163 first person camera view
  • Fixed loss of camera controls when taking control of an AI ship after death

Asset changes

  • Disabled speed particles while the player is controlling a capital ship
  • Actually fixed firing speed discrepancy between the N-163 the player can start a flight in, and the other N-163s that the AI pilot
    • Fire rate increased by about 30% for the player variant

Main menu

  • Amended debug controls section of manual to include input for 'Accelerate Time- +/='
  • Fixed Options/Field manual button remaining highlighted on the main menu after exiting their respective menu
  • Made display Altus cockpit glass less transparent
